Prophase
After the centriole and DNA had been replicated in interphase, the cell starts it process of mitosis.
Genetic Material - The DNA chromatic structures coil, forming chromosomes and as they coil they become more visible in the cell. Cell Structure - After that, the nuclear membrane starts to degrade until it is completely dissolved. Next two small structures called centrioles move to opposite ends of the cell. Spindle Fibres - In between the centrioles a threadlike called spindle fibres begin to stretch across the cell, attaching to chromosomes at the kinetochore. |
